Reflections from the Future of Utilities: Smart Energy Event
Over the past few days, our team have been out on the road at the Future of Utilities: Smart Energy event. The event was held at the Guoman Tower Hotel at London Bridge, and brought together all the big names from the utilities market to discuss innovation and developments in the sector.
We were lucky enough to have out own ‘Meet-Me-Pod’, where event delegates could come to us to learn more about our online energy hub. We discussed how our range of products help to bring energy suppliers and TPIs closer together, as well as how our data analytics tools can help both parties to gain real-time insight into the energy market.
The best bit for us was the wide range of topics discussed over the 2-day event. Themes ranged from customer experience to renewable energy, and from the use of technology to carbon-neutrality. We were also fortunate enough to hear some real-life case studies from the likes of EDF Energy, UK Power Networks, Octopus Energy and British Gas.
Gaining insight and hearing the opinions of experts from within the industry was the aim of the event, and this was certainly delivered during the range of panel discussions that were held over the two days. Hearing the likes of Bristol Energy and EDF Energy debate the future of the industry was fascinating, and it was interesting to hear the thoughts of E.ON and Shell Energy on how we can be making better use of the data we gather on our customers.
We certainly found this event both useful and informative, and we’re already looking forward to the next one.
